In addition, Aisin is also active in the field of building technology. Mid -1980s Aisin began due to the energy shortage in Japan with the operation of heat pumps by spark-ignition engines ( natural gas engine-driven compression heat pumps; GWP), so as to cool or to heat buildings efficiently. Aisin relies on petrol engines of the Toyota group, which can be operated with conventional natural gas or LPG. A significant advantage of Aisin - gas heat pump over the competition are the efficiency and extremely long service intervals. A major advantage of the technology to other (gas) heat pumps is that these systems in cooling mode can also produce hot water at the same time and without additional energy consumption. In one operation with only one device a building chilled and hot water produced - without additional energy consumption. An offshoot of the developments in the GWP is a gas cogeneration ( CHP ), which can produce electricity and heat from natural gas for heating / Bekühlung simultaneously.

In Europe, the GWP and the CHP are distributed exclusively by the Italian tecnocasa in Loreto (near Ancona). In most European countries there are partners.
