AJ Michalka

Amanda Joy Michalka ( born April 10, 1991, Torrance, California ), also known as AJ, is an American actress, singer and instrumentalist. It is particularly known as one half of the duo Aly & AJ. The other half of the duo is her sister, Alyson Michalka.

Life

Michalka grew up in Seattle, Washington and Southern California with her sister Alyson Michalka on. Her mother Carrie playing in a Christian band. Ever since she was 5 years, she plays piano and guitar since her early youth. She is a devout Christian woman.

Career

In March 2006, she was with her sister in the Disney movie Party Girls on a mission her acting debut. In addition, she starred in the MTV movie Super Sweet 16: The Movie. In 2009 she had a supporting role in Peter Jackson's film The Lovely Bones.

Michalka and her sister together form the pop duo 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ). They have released three studio albums to date and working since 2010 on her next album.
