Akira Himekawa

Akira Himekawa (Japanese姫 川 明, Akira Himekawa ) is the pen name of Japanese manga artists and illustrators A. Honda (本田A, Honda A. ) and S. Nagano (长野S, Nagano S. ).

Career

Since the 1990s, the Japanese artists A. Honda and S. Nagano operate under the pseudonym Akira Himekawa as a professional mangaka. Previously, she taught according to his own statements about the fan community to know a very popular in Japan manga series at their university. Initially, they started to draw manga with animals.

Her first professional series include the 1994 in the manga magazine Newtype published, completed in three volumes series Loup Gal in 1994, and from 1995 originating Manga Alchemia and Legend of Crystania.

2003 adapted Akira Himekawa the classic Astro Boy the manga artist Osamu Tezuka under the title Astro Boy: Tetsuwan Atom in three parts for the publisher Shogakukan. Another adaptation is the Shonen Manga to Anime Brave Story from 2006, according to the story by Miyuki Miyabe, also for Shogakukan.

At the same publisher published with the permission of Nintendo in Japan in the years 2000 to 2009, a total of ten manga for games series The Legend of Zelda. These Drew Akira Himekawa. Be addressed eight games of the series; two of them are combined in a two volume series.
