Aklak Air

Aklak Air is a Canadian airline based in Inuvik. It operates a year-round and seasonal route network in the north- western Canada. In addition, charter flights in the western Arctic are offered. The main base is located at the Inuvik Mike Zubko Airport.

History

Aklak Air was founded in 1977 and began in 1978 with the flight operations. In 1994, Aklak Air and Kenn Borek Air signed a joint venture agreement. This Aklak Air received on-demand access to the fleet of Kenn Borek Air Aklak Air is in full possession of the Inuvialuit Joint Venture Company.

Destinations

Aklak Air serves the following line objectives:

  • Aklavik (number of flights according to demand )
  • Fort McPherson (only if the " Ice Road " closed or the ferry is out of service )
  • Inuvik, Norman Wells, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour, Tuktoyaktuk (depending on demand), Ulukhaktok.
