Aksel Berg

Aksel Ivanovich Berg (Russian Аксель Иванович Берг; * 29 Oktoberjul / November 10 1893greg in Orenburg, .. † June 9, 1979 in Moscow) was a Russian scientist and naval officer.

Berg was the son of a Finland-Swedish father and an Italian mother to the world. In 1914, he joined the Imperial Russian Navy, where he served, among other things on the battleship Zessarewitsch and as a liaison officer to the British submarine HMS E8. Later, Berg was a member of the Soviet Navy, most recently as a Rear Admiral. From 1953 to 1957 he was Deputy Minister of Defence of the Soviet Union.

Aksel Berg became known as the developer of radar and cybernetics in the Soviet Union. He is buried in the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.
