The Al Salamah is a 139 meter long mega yacht, the late Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia was in the possession of Sultan ibn Abd al - Aziz. She is number 8 in the list of the longest motor yachts.
History and Facilities
The Al Salamah was 1999 Lürssen project MIPOS ( Mission Possible ) built at HDW in Kiel and completed by Lürssen in Bremen. The yacht has a helipad, an outdoor pool and large reception rooms. The living area of 8,000 square meters is divided into 80 cabins. The outdoor area is 3,300 square meters in size and designed with teak. 96 crew members are responsible for the welfare of the residents and the yacht.
In November 2012, the yacht was sold, is currently constantly in Abu Dhabi and leads the flag of the Cayman Islands
Specifications
The Al Salamah is equipped with two V20 diesel engines type MTU 1163, each developing 8,717 hp of power. It is driven by two propellers, further a bow thruster is available.
