Al-Tabarani

Abū l - Qāsim Sulaimān ibn Ahmad al - at- Tabarani Lachmi ( * 873 in Tiberias; Arabic ابو القاسم سليمان بن احمدت اللخمي الطبراني, DMG Abū l - Qāsim Sulaimān ibn Aḥmad al - Lahmi -Tabaraani † 971 in Isfahan) was an important hadith scholar who was known for his three Mu ʿ Djam works. The name at- Tabarani is a Nisba to his home city of Tiberias. His Nisba al - Lachmi refers to his descent from the Arab tribe of Banū Lachm.

At- Tabarani went already in early years on an extended trip to the collection of hadiths that him by various Islamic countries (Syria, Iraq, Hijaz, Yemen and Egypt) led. Among his teachers were Abū ʿ a to ad - Dimaschqī, at- Tabari and ī ʾ at NASA. To 902 he settled in Isfahan, where he lived until his death and a pension related.

The collected hadiths from him took at- Tabarani in three designated as Mu ʿ Djam lexicons together:

In addition, at- Tabarani has compiled several other works, including a multi-volume collection of hadiths on prayers.

Abū l - at- Tabarani Qāsim is not to be confused with Abū Sa ʿ īd MaiMun ibn al - Tabarani Qāsim (d. 1034/35 ), an important religious authority of the Alawite.
