Alabina

Alabina is a French-Israeli music group consisting of the female vocals of lead singer Ishtar, and the band Los Niños de Sara, who contribute the male voices and the music.

History

The name of the band comes from the Arabic has two meanings: "Let 's go," and "God is with us ". The Group maintains a mix of music as it is practiced in the Middle East and consists of Arabic, French, Hebrew and Spanish elements.

Ishtar

The lead singer Ishtar (Hebrew אישתאר ) was born on 10 November 1968 as Eti Zach in Kiryat Ata near Haifa in Israel and grew up there. Her parents are Moroccan and Egyptian -born Jews. Her grandmother was herself a singer and sang oriental folk music under the name Nora. Also Eti Zach's father was a musician. She and her sister grew up in Israel in an Arabic-speaking environment. Eti Zach was 2007 mother of twins a year. Ishtar speaks and sings in Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish and English. She says of herself that she also "half Moroccan speak ". 2009 was the composite of Ishtar and the Israeli singer Kobi Peretz Duo Yahad ( "Together " ) success granted. Ishtar was awarded in November 2009 in New York the "Big Apple" Diamond Award.
