Alain Ducasse

Alain Ducasse (* September 13, 1956 in Castel- Sarrazin in southwestern France ) is a chef and writer of gastronomic literature.

Life and work

After training as a chef, he worked at other well-known chefs such as Michel Guérard, Roger Vergé and Alain Chapel.

Alain Ducasse was awarded by the Michelin Guide as the first and only Cuisinier at the same time three times the highest rating of three stars for his cooking: the three stars for his restaurant Le Plaza Athénée in Paris, Alain Ducasse at the Essex House in New York and Le Louis XV in Monaco. Alain Ducasse himself explains the success of its kitchen with the constant attempt that is easy to make haute cuisine - perceptible and understandable to all.

2007 launched the world's most famous chef 30 restaurants, supervised his bakery, five hotels ( Auberges ), three cooking schools and published his knowledge in books of his own publishing company. His most famous book is the " Grand Livre de Cuisine - Culinary Encyclopedia ".

In March 2007, the restaurant Lespinasse in the St. Regis Hotel was to Adour Alain Ducasse in New York. Ducasse joined his previous restaurant in the Essex House.

In December 2007, Ducasse took over the restaurant Jules Verne on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. The preparation kitchen and the wine cellar below the Champ de Mars ( Field of Mars ). A separate freight elevator transports the food up.

Since 2008 he is a citizen of Monaco.
