Alain Vasseur

Alain Vasseur ( born April 1, 1948 in Capelle, France ) is a former French cyclist.

He took part in the Tour de France 1970, 1971 and 1974. In 1970 he won the eighth stage of the Tour, which led the Belgian Ciney to Felsberg before Walter Godefroot and Marino Basso. In 1969, he won the Four Days of Dunkirk. In 1968 he took part in the Olympics and finished 20th place in the road race

His older brother Sylvain Vasseur and his son Cedric Vasseur were or are also cyclists.
