Alan Culpepper

Lawrence Alan Culpepper ( born September 15, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American track and field athlete.

Career

The long-distance runners difference in 1997 the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens over 5000 m in the run- off. In 2000 he was second in the 10,000 meters but the U.S. elimination fights ( Trials ) for the Olympic Games in Sydney, was caught there a cold one and was eliminated in the run- off.

At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton and 2003 in Paris, he came over 10,000 m on the 18th or 14th place. He was on his debut over the 42,195 - km - distance sixth at the Chicago Marathon in 2:09:41 h 2004 he won the U.S. Trials for the Olympic Games in Athens in 2002 and 2:11:42 in the Olympic Marathon twelfth in 2:15:26. He finished fourth and fifth at the 2006 Boston Marathon in 2005.

National title he won in 2002 over 5000 m, 1999 and 2003 over 10,000 m, and 1999, 2003 and 2007 in cross-country running.

Alan Culpepper is 1,85 m tall and weighs 59 kg. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder 1995 in the subjects of geography and sociology, and has been since 1997 with the middle and long distance runner Shayne Culpepper, nee Wille, married. The couple has three children and operates in Louisville, Colorado a sports store called Sole Pepper.
