Alan Palmer

Alan Warwick Palmer ( born 1926 in the UK) is a British author of historical and biographical books.

Life

Palmer attended the Bancroft School in Woodford Green before he went to Oriel College, Oxford in England. From 1953 to 1969 he was at the Highgate School, London head of the History Department. For more than forty years he has been with his wife Veronica his historical research and writing.

Work

At Palmer's publications include several dozen monographs and reference books, which are also partly present in German and translated into French.
