Aland, Saxony-Anhalt
Aland is a kreisangehorige municipality in the district of Stendal in Saxony- Anhalt, which was formed on 1 January 2010 from the formerly independent communities Aulosen, Krüden, Pollitz and Wanzer. It was named after the Aland, a tributary of the Elbe. The community Wahrenberg was incorporated into Aland On September 1, 2010 yet.
The municipality Aland belongs to the municipality Seehausen ( Altmark).

Attractions
Between Aulosen and the Lower Saxon border is the looped GDR era village Stresow. Here is now a border memorial.
