Alastair Mackenzie

Alastair Mackenzie (born 1970 in Trinafour in Perth ) is a British actor and screenwriter Scottish origin.

Life

Mackenzie decided early to become an actor and moved to London at 18. He acted in several plays and movies, as in the BBC drama Monarch of the Glen. His older brother David Mackenzie, who was director cast him in his 1997 award-winning short film California Sunshine, in which Alistair played a small-time dealer. For the feature film The Last Great Wilderness ( 2002), he wrote the script and also played a role.

Alastair Mackenzie lives in Islington. He is married to Scottish actress Susan Vidler and has a daughter. With his brother, he has held film production company Sigma Films.
