Ålbæk

Aalbæk (or Ålbæk ) is a town with 1544 inhabitants in Northern Denmark between Frederikshavn and Skagen (as of 1 January 2013). Since the 2007 local government reform is one of the place to Frederikshavn municipality in North Jutland.

Aalbæk is characterized by its location at the Kattegat with a fishing port, on the railway line Frederikshavn Skagen and State Roads 40 and 597 on both sides of the harbor stretches a sandy beach, with south the holiday home area Napstjert adjacent to the site.

In the center is the 1897 built of red bricks Aalbæk Kirke. It was built as a branch church to Raabjerg Kirke, as Aalbæk by the connection to the railway network grew rapidly. On the adjacent cemetery contains many graves of fishermen who fell victim to mines in World War II.
