Albanian women's football championship

The Top League or Turneu i Pare Kombetar Futbollit e femrave ( German: Albanian Women's Soccer Championship ) is the official football championship in the Albanian women's football. The championship was first held in 2009.

History

The championship was first held in 2009. The first championship was held as a knockout tournament. First official master is the club Tirana AS. The season 2010/2011 was first held in the league system. Current champion is the KS Ada Velipoje. Since 2011, the women's football clubs Albania in the UEFA Women's Champions League are allowed to participate. Accordingly, the KS Ada Velipoje, the first Albanian football club, in this competition occurred. There, the club lost all three qualifying matches and was eliminated with a goal difference of 00:34 gates and 0 points.

In the season 2011/2012 occurred eight clubs in the Top League for the Albanian Women's Soccer Championship. These clubs are called Tirana AS, KS Ada Velipoje, The Door, Dardania, FC Kamza, Juban Danja, cinema studio and Shkendija Durres. Currently there is only a single Albanian women's football league.
