Albayzín

The Albaicin (older spelling also Albaycín ) is the oldest neighborhood of Granada in Spain. It is in its origin back to the Moorish period of Spain, with remains of walls suggest a settlement since the times of the Iberians and Romans.

The district Albaicin is located on one of the three mountain ridge on which the city of Granada was built, with views of the Alhambra. Not only by his well-known views on this important castle town, but also because of the many picturesque little streets between the predominantly white -washed houses is one of the Albaicin to the city's sights.

Since 1994, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
