Playing career
In the club
Alberigo Evani began his football career in the youth department of AC Milan. On October 11, 1981, he was at the age of 18 years at the match against FC Bologna under Luigi Radice left-back his Serie A debut for the Rossoneri, for which he had already played in the previous season in Serie B a game. After re- direct descent Evani was 1982/83 in Serie B already master force, completed 35 of 38 games and managed with Milan again the ascent.
In the following years, AC Milan was the most successful club team in the world and Alberigo Evani always root force, even though his position with the arrival of Arrigo Sacchi and the debut of Paolo Maldini shifted from left-back - on the left side of midfield. In the season 1987/88 Evani under Sacchi won his first Italian championship in 1989 and 1990 was followed by the winning the European Cup of Champions as well as each of the European Supercup and the World Cup.
With the signing of Fabio Capello as Milan coach Evani was used in central midfield. 1991/92 and 1992/93 he won under the Friulian coach his Scudetti number two and three.
In the summer of 1993 Alberigo Evani moved 30 -year-old at Sampdoria, where he stood four seasons long under contract. With Samp he won in 1993/94 under Sven-Goran Eriksson, the Coppa Italia, Serie A but it was not a title contender. From September to December 1997 Evani played for AC Reggiana, then for the U.S. Carrarese in Serie C1, where he ended his active career in May 1998.
In the National Team
His former club coach Arrigo Sacchi called Alberigo Evani first time in 1991 in the Italian national team, for the 2-0 win against Cyprus, he made his debut on 21 December 1991.
1994 appointed him Sacchi also in the Italian squad for the World Cup in the USA, where he played two games, and advanced all the Azzurri to the final, where one Brazil was defeated with 2:3 after penalty shoot-out.
The last of a total of 15 caps for the Azzurri completed Evani October 8, 1994 2-0 in Estonia.
Coaching career
Alberigo Evani coached the youth team of age Allievi Nazionali of AC Milan, with whom he was in 2006/ 07 Italian Champion and later the Primavera of the Milan club.
In the 2009/10 season he was head coach of the Sammarinese clubs San Marino Calcio Lega Pro Seconda Divisione in the. Subsequently, he was coach of the Italian U-18 national team.
