Albert Abicht

Albert Abicht ( born December 9, 1893 in Lemnitz; † January 5, 1973 in Nuremberg ) was a German farmer and politician ( ThLB / DNVP, NSDAP).

Life and career

After the primary school completion Abicht attended from 1908 to 1910, the agricultural school in Triptis and then went to agricultural activity after. He did military service and took from 1914 until his war service injuries and released from military service in September 1916 as a soldier in the First World War in part. Since 1917 he worked as a cashier in Leubsdorf community. Later he returned to his learned profession and leased a 1928 manor in Oberpöllnitz. Since 1927 he was chairman of the county Chamber of Agriculture in Gera and member of the Thuringian main Chamber of Agriculture in Weimar. In addition, he held various positions in agricultural organizations.

Party

Abicht entered the Thuringian Land League in the 1920s. He was in 1931 a member of the Board since December narrower and was elected on 16 December 1932, the First President of the Party. In 1933 he moved on to the NSDAP. In May 1941, he was excluded, which was lifted in August 1942.

Member of Parliament

Abicht was since 1924 a member of the council circle Gera. At the general election in July 1932, he was elected for the DNVP in the German Reichstag, where he served until November 1933. In Parliament, he represented the constituency of Thuringia.

Public offices

Abicht officiated from 1922 to 1928 as mayor of Leubsdorf. At the same time he was chairman of the rural community association for the district of Gera and board member of the Thuringian rural community day in Weimar.
