Albert Hedderich

Albert Hedderichstraße ( born December 11, 1957 in Mainz ) is a former German rower who competed for the RV Ingelheim.

1975 Hedderichstraße German youth champion in One. Together with his teammate Michael Ingelheim Dürsch he won four German league titles in the double sculls.

International were the two with the Ulmern Raimund Hörmann and Dieter Wiedenmann 1978 to 1984 the West German sculls. 1978 the team won bronze at the World Cup. 1979 and 1982 the team was runner-up, each behind the boat from the GDR. 1983 won the West German occupation the world title against the GDR. This was the first defeat of the quartet from East Germany in the World Championships since the introduction of this class of boat in 1974.

Another high point of the career of Albert Hedderichstraße and his three colleagues was the victory in the quadruple sculls at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
