Albert J. Campbell

Albert James Campbell ( born December 12, 1857 in Pontiac, Michigan; † 9 August 1907 in New York City ) was an American politician. Between 1899 and 1901 he represented the state of Montana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Early years

Albert Campbell attended the public schools of his home and then the Michigan Agricultural College at Lansing. After working several years as a teacher, he began studying law. After his 1881 was admitted as a lawyer in Oxford Campbell began to work in his new profession. In 1882 he moved his residence to Clarke. Between 1886 and 1888 Campbell officiated as district attorney in Lake County.

Rise and people's life

In 1888, Albert Campbell moved to Butte in Montana, where he first worked as a lawyer also. He became a member of the Democratic Party, for which he was elected in 1897 in the House of Representatives from Montana. Between March 4, 1899, the March 3, 1901 Campbell was a member of the U.S. Congress for a legislative period. He was the successor of Charles S. Hartman. In 1900 he abandoned a bid again. After his time in Washington, he continued his legal practice in Butte. James Campbell died in 1907 in New York and was buried in Butte.
