Albert Medal (lifesaving)

The Albert Medal for Lifesaving is a British award for lifesaving commemorating Prinze Albert (1819-1861), the husband of Queen Victoria.

It was on March 7, 1866 also awarded for saving life at sea and on land from 1877 until it was replaced by the George Cross in 1971.
