Albert Narath

Albert Narath (* September 13, 1864 in Vienna, † August 15 1924 in Heidelberg) was an anatomist and surgeon.

Life

He first made ​​a name for himself as an anatomist with studies on the structure of the bronchial and various Hernienformen. In 1906 he became full professor at the Department of Surgery of the University Hospital Heidelberg. Already in 1910 he had to give up for health reasons this chair. However, he used the following years numerous scientific publications. He died on August 14, 1924 in Heidelberg.

Work focus

Naraths work as a surgeon does not show any real priorities. His publications relate, inter alia stomach surgery, bowel elimination, retroperitoneal lymph cysts, development of an artificial larynx, varicocele operations, pneumatoceles the parotid and Omentumplastiken.
