Alberto Uria

Alberto Urias ( born July 11, 1924 in Montevideo, † December 4, 1988 ) was a racing driver from Uruguay.

Alberto Uria was one of the South American racing driver who participated in organized in Argentina car racing. The Man from Montevideo crossed twice the Rio de la Plata to start the Grand Prix of Argentina in Buenos Aires with his Maserati A6GCM.

In 1955 he retired with a defect in the fuel pump, 1956, he shared the cockpit with Óscar González and came up with a backlog of 10 rounds on the winner Juan Manuel Fangio and Luigi Musso at Ferrari D50 in sixth place.
