Alcaeus (mythology)

Alcaeus (Greek Ἀλκαῖος ) In Greek mythology, the son of Perseus and Andromeda, and succeeded his father, king of Tiryns.

Alkaios married depending on tradition Astydameia, the daughter of Pelops, or Laonome, the daughter of Guneus, or Hipponome, the daughter of Menoikeus. With his wife he became the father of Amphitryon and Anaxo.

According to the Libraries of Apollodorus (2, 5, 9) was Alcaeus, like his brother Sthenelus, a son of Androgeos, son of Minos.
