Aleksander Sochaczewski

Aleksander Sochaczewski (actually special Lajb; May 3, 1843 in Iłów, today's district Sochaczew, then Congress Poland, † April 15, 1923 in Biedermann village) was a Polish painter of Jewish origin, who participated in the January Uprising in 1863 against the Russian Empire.

After the suppression of the January Uprising, he was exiled to Siberia under Tsar Alexander II. His paintings are known from the exiles and forced labor of exile.
