Aleksander Świętochowski

Aleksander Świętochowski ( born January 18, 1849 in Stoczek Łukowski, † April 25, 1938 in Gołotczyzna ) was a Polish writer, critic and political writer of the time of positivism, the literary epoch of Poland after the failed January Uprising in 1863.

Świętochowski worked in the years 1871 to 1874 for the magazine Przegląd Tygodniowy. In 1881 he founded the weekly newspaper Pravda, which he edited until 1902.
