Alex Parker

Alex Parker ( born August 2, 1935 † 7 January 2010) was a Scottish football player and coach.

Career

Parker began his professional career in 1952 at FC Falkirk in the first Scottish league. As a regular force of the defender made ​​the charge of the Scottish national attention and made ​​his debut in 1955 in the team. In 1957 he won with the team by a 2-1 win in the replay against FC Kilmarnock Scottish National Cup. A year later he was part of the squad at the World Championships in 1958. Following the tournament, he joined the First Division to Everton. However, his debut for the new club was delayed because he was first called up for military service in Cyprus. In 1963 he won the English league title with the team. Two years later he went to several injuries to FC Southport, before he moved to Northern Ireland to Ballymena United in 1968. Later he finished his career with the Irish Drumcondra FC.

After end of his career he coached his first game former station FC Southport. He later ran a pub in Gretna and trained alongside unterklassige clubs.
