Alexander Arekeev

Alexander Viktorovich Arekejew (Russian Александр Викторович Арекеев; born 12 October 1982) is a Russian cyclist.

Alexander Arekejew won the bronze medal in the road race in the Junior behind Jeremy Yates and Antonio Bucciero at the UCI Road World Championships 2000 in Plouay. Since 2004 he runs Continental team Acqua & Sapone for the Italian Professional. His previous best finishes were a fifth place in the Giro dell'Emilia in 2005 and a third place on the eighth stage of the Peace Race in 2006. 2007 he won his first professional race with a stage win at Tirreno- Adriatico.
