Alexander Kalyanin

Alexander Igorewitsch Kaljanin (Russian Александр Игоревич Калянин; * September 24, 1987 in Chelyabinsk, Russian SFSR, † 7 September 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl ) was a Russian ice hockey player who during his career, among other things, the HC Traktor Chelyabinsk and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Superleague and Kontinental Hockey League was under contract.

Career

Alexander Kaljanin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, for the second team, he was active from 2003 to 2005 in the third-class Perwaja league. In the season 2004/ 05 he also came to his debut for the first team of HK tractor in the Super League, the highest Russian league. In the 2006/07 season the winger for the second division Disel Pensa stood in the Wysschaja league on the ice.

The 2007/08 season began Kaljanin at Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, however, came only eight appearances for the second team in the league Perwaja, after which he spent the entire rest of the season with his hometown club Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Super League. Since the 2008/ 09 season, the Russian runs on in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. In its premiere season, he reached locomotive immediately the playoff final for the Gagarin Cup, but Ak Bars Kazan had in this with his team in the best- of-seven series with 3:4 victories beaten. In the following years he was a regular for locomotive. On September 7, 2011, he died in a plane crash near Yaroslavl killed.

Internationally

For Russia Kaljanin took part in 2011 at the Euro Hockey Tour.
