Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Novosibirsk

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral Byzantine style in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.

History

It is considered one of the oldest stone buildings in the city and was completed in 1898 or earlier. In 1937 she was signed during the reign of Joseph Stalin. In 1988 the cathedral was again handed over to the Russian Orthodox Church and was until 1992 completely renovated and also the early 1990s opened after the Russian Orthodox Patriarch Alexy II had visited them.

Architecture

The church was built of red brick and has two gilded domes.
