Alexander Pöllhuber

Alexander Pöllhuber (born 30 April 1985) is an Austrian football player at the position of a defender.

Career

Pöllhuber started to play football game in its infancy at the small town of Salzburg UPS Leopoldskron club - moss and moved as a teenager in the Bundesliga youth development center of Salzburg, from where he came into the amateur side SV Salzburg.

In 2004, he was promoted to the first team of the Bundesliga and got his first professional contract. His debut in the Bundesliga was Pöllhuber on 23 October 2004 against Wacker Innsbruck. He came on in the 74th minute for Markus Scharrer. The game ended with a 1-3 defeat. After the takeover of the traditional Salzburg football club by the beverage company Red Bull, he was transferred to the new FC Red Bull as one of the few Austrian football player. Since he could not prevail against the phalanx of legionaries under the coaches Trapattoni and Matthäus, the Salzburg moved in the summer of 2006 on loan to SK Sturm Graz. In early 2007 ran his loan contract for locals, and it was further awarded by Red Bull to Admira Wacker Mödling. After the descent of the Südstadt residents, he moved in 2008 to SV Mattersburg.

In 2013 it rose for the second time from a team from the Bundesliga and joined the club. Pöllhuber signed with SCR Altach.

Pöllhubers position is to be settled in central defense. He is 2.02 meters tall and was a member of the Austrian U21 national team.

Alexander Pöllhuber is the identical twin brother Peter Pöllhuber, which is also active as a professional footballer. On 1 December 2012, this led to a novelty in the Bundesliga as the two at the game of SV Mattersburg against FC Trenkwalder Admira (final score: 3-0) against each other stood on the field.
