Alexander Romanov (ice hockey)
Alexander Vladimirovich Romanov (Russian: Александр Владимирович Романов; born August 18, 1980 in Woskressensk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Sibir Novosibirsk HK in the Kontinental Hockey League since December 2012.
Career
Alexander Romanov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Chimik Woskressensk, for the first team, he made his debut in the Super League in the 1998/99 season. In his rookie year, the winger scored a goal in 15 games and had to descend into the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league suffered, with his team. In this he played for Chimik Woskressensk to it in the course of the 2002/ 03 moved within the Wysschaja League to Neftjanik Leninogorsk. The season 2003/ 04 he spent in the Wysschaja League at THK Tver and finished it with his hometown club from Woskressensk, who had risen again in the Super League in the meantime.
The 2004/05 season began Romanov again at Chimik Woskressensk in the Super League, changed the course of the season, however, the second division THK Tver and its domestic rivals Neftjanik Leninogorsk. In the following season the links Sagittarius stood at second division Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod under contract. He then joined another time Chimik Woskressensk. With his team he joined in 2007/ 08 season as a second-division champion on to the newly formed Continental Hockey League. In the 2008 /09 season he scored seven goals for Chimik in 55 KHL games and had 15 assists. After the club subsequently had to withdraw for financial reasons from the KHL, the Russian remained in the KHL Vityaz Chekhov and switched to. Between 2009 and 2012 he was active for Vityaz, before he was taken in the summer of 2012 from HK Ryazan from the Wysschaja Hockey League contract. For Ryazan he completed 30 missions in the second division before he signed a contract with the KHL team HK Sibir Novosibirsk.
