Alexander Schmidt ( born October 23, 1968 in Augsburg ) is a German football coach. From 18 November 2012 to 31 August 2013, he was head coach of the second division club TSV 1860 Munich.

Career as a player

Schmidt came only on inserts in the 3rd or a lower league during his playing days as a football player. After his youth at FC Augsburg he first belonged to the Bavarian League Squad of the Fugger city dwellers. Later he played for the TSG Augsburg, SV Thierhaupten in the A-Class (now county league ), the TSV Schwaben Augsburg, FC Canavese in the Italian Serie C2, the TSV Bobingen, TSV Dasing, FC Pipinsried and TSV Hilgertshausen. Youth coach
