Alexander Sinclair

William Alexander Sinclair ( born June 28, 1911 in Liverpool, United Kingdom; † October 2, 2002 in Kettering, Ohio, United States) was a Canadian ice hockey player.

Career

Alexander Sinclair began his career as a hockey player with the Fort William Maroons, for which he was active in the Thunder Bay Junior Hockey League in the range from 1929 to 1931. He then spent two seasons with the Lakehead woodsmen in the senior league. From 1933 to 1936 he played for the Port Athur Bearcats, represented with whom he Canada at the Olympic Winter Games in 1936. Following the tournament he played from 1936 to 1939 for the Wembley Monarchs in the English National League. From 1939 to 1942 he ran on in his Canadian home to the Fort Frances Maple Leafs. Most recently, he spent two years playing for the Port Arthur Shipbuilders. After his playing career, he spent several decades working as a manager of various ice hockey stadiums.

Internationally

For Canada, Sinclair took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, where he won the silver medal with his team.
