Alexander Suslin

Alexander Suslin ha - Kohen (or Süslin Alexander ha - Kohen, Suskind ) (* in Erfurt; † before 1349 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German Talmudist.

When he met Meir of Rothenburg ( † 1293 ), he enjoyed already high reputation. In this respect, it is estimated that he was at the time at least 25 years old. He was first Rabbi in Cologne and Worms, and then went to Frankfurt. Allegations that he had died in 1349 in Erfurt, probably due to a confusion with Israel ben Joel Susslin.

He gave the work Aguddah (Association or The collection, literally " a bunch ", also Sefer HaAguda ) out.
