Alexander Voigt (2008)

Alexander Voigt ( born April 13, 1978 in Cologne ) is a German football player.

Career

From the age of nine at the full-back played at FC Cologne 1. He got with this three times in the first Bundesliga, once with Borussia Mönchengladbach. In July 2005 he went together with Huub Stevens, who was Voigt's coach at FC to Roda Kerkrade. End of December 2006 he moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena, for which he was active for half a year.

From the summer of 2007 played Voigt for Borussia Mönchengladbach. In the first year he was with 33 appearances the most consistent defender of the team and increased with the Borussia on in the 1st Bundesliga. In the second year, he lost his place, and came in the first half of the season 2008/ 09 to only six missions. From January 2009 Voigt no longer belonged to the senior squad.

During the winter break in 2009 Voigt moved free transfer to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. He got a contract until 30 June 2010. However, he left the game association after half a year. For the season 2009/10 he moved to FSV Frankfurt, where he signed a one year contract. There, on 7 February 2010, he scored his first goal for the FSV in the 1-1 draw against Alemannia Aachen.

For the 2010/11 season Voigt returned to his former club FC Carl Zeiss Jena and signed a one year contract with an option for another year. In mid-March 2012, he was released after a verbal confrontation with goalkeeper coach Tomislav Piplica coach Petrik Sander of training and competitions.

For the 2012/13 season Voigt was committed by the Regional division FC Viktoria Köln.
