Alexandra Shiryayeva

Alexandra Alexandrovna Schirjajewa (Russian Александра Александровна Ширяева; born February 9, 1983 in Leningrad) is a Russian volleyball player.

Career

Schirjajewa won the 2003 in Saint -Quay- Portrieux the World Youth Championship with Anna Morozova. Since 2005, she formed a permanent duo with Natalya Nikolaevna Urjadowa. The following year, the Russians won the European Championships in The Hague in the final against the Netherlands team Rebekka Kadijk and Merel Mooren. In the 2007 World Cup they lost in the first round of the German duo Helke Claasen and Antje Röder.
