Alexandre Tuffère

Aléxandros Touferís (Greek Αλέξανδρος Τουφερής, French Alexandre Tuffèri or Tuffère; born June 8, 1876 in Athens, † March 14, 1958 ) was a Greek- French track and field athlete, who participated in three Olympic Games.

His participation in the Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 and Olympic Games 1900 in Paris France are generally attributed. In the triple jump, he was in 1896 with 12.70 m second behind the American James Connolly, who was charged with 13.71 m of the first Olympic champion of the modern age. Touferis also took part in the long jump, but did not make it into the top four. Four years later he was in the triple jump in Paris sixth.

As a member of the Greek team, he competed in the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens. In the standing long jump, he finished seventh in the 110- meter hurdles, he retired in the first round out.
