Alexei Guryshev

Alexei Mikhailovich Guryschew (Russian Алексей Михайлович Гурышев; born March 14, 1925 in Moscow, † December 16, 1983 ) was a Soviet ice hockey player (Center) and arbitrator.

Career

Guryschew worked since 1941 as a turner in the factory Dinamo in Moscow and received the medal "For the defense of Moscow " and the medal "For valiant work during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 ". In the Sports Association of his factory he played football and bandy.

In 1945 he moved to the Sports Association Krylia Sovetov Moscow, for whom he played in the 1945/46 season in the Bandy League and reached the Soviet Cup Final. He also ran in the Krylia Sovetov football team, with whom he was 1947 champion of the unions in the summer. As a result, he focused on the sport of ice hockey and went for Krylia Sovetov in the Klass A, the highest Soviet league in ice hockey, on the ice. In the following years he mostly belonged to the best scorers in the league four times in his career he was also top scorer in the Klass A ( 1948/49, with 29 goals, in 1954/55 41 goals, 1956/57, 32 goals, in 1957/58 40 goals). With Krylia Sovetov 1957 he was a Soviet champion, runner-up three times ( 1955, 1956, 1958) and finished five times the third place of the Championship (1950, 1951, 1954, 1959, 1960). He also won the 1951 Soviet Cup competition and was twice in the cup final (1952, 1954).

In 1961, he finished his career, during which he had scored 379 goals in 300 games. He ranks third scorer of the Soviet championship. In 1954 he was awarded the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR. In 1957 he also received the Medal of the Soviet Union.

After ending his playing career, he worked as a national and international referee in hockey 1963-1975. After his 50th birthday he was not allowed to work as a referee and was coach at GZOLIFK, where he trained, among others, Vladimir Petrov.

Internationally

In 1954 he was appointed to the newly established Soviet national team. On January 29, 1954, he was the first official match of the Sbornaja against Finland on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo, he also won a gold and four silver medals at the World Championships. In the National Team as well as at Krylia Sovetov he played mostly with Nikolai and Mikhail Bychkov Chlystow in an attack formation.

For the national team, he scored 71 goals in 92 internationals. On March 15, 1959 he played his last international match.
