Alexei Koznev

Alexei Vladimirovich Kosnew (Russian Алексей Валентинович Кознев; born October 3, 1975 in Cherepovets, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who, in the course of his career, among others, for Severstal Cherepovets, the SKA Saint Petersburg and Vityaz Chekhov in the Kontinental Hockey League and Super League has played.

Career

Alexei Kosnew began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Metallurg Cherepovets - 1994 Severstal Cherepovets renamed - and played for the professional team from 1992 to 1995 in the International Hockey League. For the 1995/96 season the Center moved within the league for SKA St. Petersburg, for which he could compete in the next five years, first in the IHL and from the 1996/97 season in the Super League, in the exclusively Russian clubs, ran aground. For the season 2000/ 01 he returned to his hometown club back to Cherepovets, remained there only a year before he spent the following season with the league rivals HK Avangard Omsk.

From 2002 to 2004 Kosnew stood again at the SKA Saint Petersburg under contract before he once again Severstal Cherepovets for was active in the 2004/05 season. The 2005/06 season began, the former national player and Vice World Champion 2002 at the HK Sibir Novosibirsk, those left after twelve scorer points in 27 games already returned and signed for the third time in his career a contract with SKA St. Petersburg. When SKA he was in the period following first team regular and also began the 2008/09 season with his team in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. Already after only five appearances in the KHL, the links Sagittarius but moved to St. Petersburg League rivals Vityaz Chekhov, for whom he played until 2011. At the end of the 2010/11 season, he completed some games for Molot - Prikamye Perm, before he ended his career.

Internationally

For Russia Kosnew participated in the 2002 World Cup, where he was runner-up with his team. In the final he lost with his crew almost the Slovak national team, which won its first world title at all. During the tournament he scored three goals and had two assists in nine games.
