Alexei Krivchenkov

Alexei Vasilievich Kriwtschenkow (Russian Алексей Васильевич Кривченков; born June 11, 1974 in Ussolje - Sibirskoye, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian professional ice hockey player who was most recently with Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Alexei Kriwtschenkow began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Yermak Angarsk. From there he moved to HK CSKA Moscow, for its first team he was active in the International Hockey League from 1993 to 1995. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1994 in the third round than a total of 76 players from the Pittsburgh Penguins, for which, however, he never played. Although the defender in 1995 went to North America, but ran into the following three years exclusively in the minor leagues, where he for the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League, the Cleveland Lumberjacks and Long Beach Ice Dogs of the International Hockey League, as well as Hampton Roads Admirals and Johnstown Chiefs of the East Coast Hockey League was used. He then returned to his native Russia and spent the 1998/99 season at HK Sibir Novosibirsk in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league.

From 1999 to 2004 played for Severstal Cherepovets Kriwtschenkow in the Super League. There he was able to prevail in the long term, Russia's highest league. The 2004/05 season spent the links Sagittarius at his former club Sibir Novosibirsk HK, who also went up in the meantime in the Super League. The following season he began during his league rivals Vityaz Chekhov, but left the club after two goals and three assists in 28 games already and returned to Novosibirsk. After Sibir had been added to the 2008/09 season in the newly formed Continental Hockey League, he started the season again in Novosibirsk, but moved to twelve inserts for KHL Metallurg Novokuznetsk league rivals, for whom he played until 2011. In the season 2010/11 Krwitschenkow assistant captain was at Metallurg.
