Alexei Kudashov

Alexei Nikolaevich Kudaschow (Russian Алексей Николаевич Кудашов; born July 21, 1971 in Elektrostal, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player, who reached two Russian league titles with the HK Dynamo Moscow respectively OHK Dynamo in the course of his career.

Career

Alexei Kudaschow began his career as a hockey player with crystal Elektrostal, for which he was active from 1986 to 1989 in the Wysschaja League, the highest Soviet league. He then moved for Krylia Sovetov Moscow five years. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 in the fifth round as a total 102 players from the Toronto Maple Leafs, for whom he made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League in the 1993/94 season. After the Russians stood in the following two seasons exclusively in the American Hockey League for the St. John 's Maple Leafs and the Carolina Monarchs on the ice, he returned to Europe, where he played until 1997 for the Düsseldorf issued in the German Ice Hockey League.

After this success, he ended his career as a player and became an assistant coach at Atlant Mytischtschi.

After a series of defeats at the start of the 2013/14 season head coach Sergei Svetlov was released together with Alexander Nesterov and Alexei Kudaschow promoted to head coach.

Internationally

For the USSR Kudaschow took part in the U20 World Junior Championships in 1990 and 1991. For Russia played part of the striker at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, as well as the World Championships in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
