Alexei Pavlovich Michnow (Russian Алексей Павлович Михнов, Ukrainian Олексій Павлович Міхнов / Olexij Pawlowytsch Michnow; born August 31, 1982 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian- Russian ice hockey player, who at Atlant Mytischtschi from the Kontinental Hockey League since August 2012 contract stands. His brother Andrei is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Alexei Michnow began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, for the second team, he was active in the third-class Perwaja League from 1997 to 2000. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the first round than a total of 17 players from the Edmonton Oilers. First, however, the winger remained in Russia, where he repeatedly changed the club in the 2000/ 01 season. He started the season in the second team of crystal Elektrostal in Perwaja League, then moved to THK Tver from the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, and finished it in its league rivals, the second team of HK CSKA Moscow. The 2006/07 season he joined the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, but for which he only completed two games, before joining the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League. After 18 scorer points, including six goals, in 27 games, followed by the re- return to Yaroslavl, for whom he played until the end of the season 2010/11, first in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the Kontinental Hockey League newly established. For the season 2011/12 Michnow was obliged by Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
