Alexej Pludek

Alexei Pludek (born 29 January 1923 in Prostějov; † 7 September 2002 in Prague) was a Czech writer and politician.

Life

Pludek studied until 1951 Economy at the political and social institution. The second time he passed his exams in 1966 at the University of Economics in Prague. Before the Velvet Revolution it belonged to personalities of culture, which were closely associated with the Communist regime. After 1989 he became involved in the nationalist movement.

He was blok as representative of the leftist Communist coalition Levý ( The Left Bloc ) were elected to the Federal Assembly in 1992. In 1996 he ran for the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. One of his proposals as a politician was the reduction in child benefit for " adaptable incompetent " families.

In addition to historical novels he wrote since 1959 children 's literature, science fiction novels and a screenplay.
