Alfred Baum (athlete)

Alfred Wood ( born February 10, 1952 in Wickede ( Ruhr) ) is a former German canoeist.

Tree started for canoe Schwaben Augsburg, the canoe sports department of TSV Schwaben Augsburg, in canoe slalom. Among his greatest achievements include three German champion in one kayak, 1970, 1972 and 1973. The Canoe Slalom World Championships 1971, he won the bronze medal in the team competition and finished second in the individual standings to fifth place. In the 1972 Olympics he won the fifth place in one kayak. Today he lives in Echthausen, a district of Wickede ( Ruhr).
