Alfred-Döblin-Stipendium

The Alfred Döblin scholarship from the Berlin Academy of Arts is awarded since 1985 and is named after the writer Alfred Doblin.

The selected Berlin writer obtain a residency program for three to twelve months in the amount of 1,100 euros per month. The fellows inhabit during the time of the scholarship, the Land Berlin in 1985 by Günter Grass on suitable Alfred Döblin house in Wewelsfleth. There is a residence requirement. About the submitted work samples chosen by a jury of three. Its members include one representative each from the Academy of Arts, the PEN Center Federal Republic of Germany and the Senate Administration for Science, Research and Culture.
