Alfred Fitch

Alfred Fitch ( Alfred Lord wills, also briefly Al Fitch, born December 1, 1912 in New York City; † February 17, 1981 in Orange, California ) was an American athlete who mainly due to the long sprint track in the 400 meters took up running.

In the qualifying competitions for the 1936 Olympics he finished fourth among the five top places, all started for California. His best time was handgestoppte 47.0 s at the NCAA competitions in 1936, just behind Archie Williams also see with 47.0 on the track over 440 yards, he was in May at the 1936 competitions of the Pacific Coast Conference in Berkeley with his second best time of 47.4 s

For the United States, he started at the athletics competitions in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin in the relay competition in the 400 - meter track. Together with Harold Cagle, Robert Young and Edward O'Brien, he won in 3:11,0 min the silver medal.
