Alfredo Fígaro

Alfredo Fígaro (born 7 July 1984 Samana, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican baseball player in Major League. He currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers on the position of the pitcher.

Career

Detroit Tigers

Fígaro was not drafted in the MLB Draft 2006, but signed with the Tigers GLC, a rookie team of the Detroit Tigers. With the GLC Tigers he could show 2006 Win a 3-1 loss statistics with an ERA of 0.70 runs in 14 games in which he played four from the start. In 2007 he was then appointed to the roster of the Oneonta Tigers and had there on a 4-2 record with a 3.38 ERA in eleven games from the start. He was then appointed to the cadre of the Lakeland Tigers. Here he had a 0-2 record in four starts. The Tigers sent at the beginning of the 2008 season him to another team in the Single -A league, the West Michigan Whitecaps. The Whitecaps Fígaro put on some career records. He pointed at 19 launches twelve victories, pitching two complete games and 123 innings, scoring 96 strikeouts. He was then called back to the Lakeland Tigers, but could again have no victory. He earned five starts with a 0-5 record and a 4.91 ERA. Nonetheless, he was appointed to the start of the 2009 season in the roster of the Erie Seawolves. There he was honored as Player of the Week the week of April 20 .. He had at the end of a 5-2 record with an ERA of 4.10.

Fígaro was promoted on June 20, 2009 in the roster of the Detroit Tigers, for which Dane Sardinha was, however, dropped from the squad. On the same day he gave his debut in the MLB when he replaced in the fifth inning Dontrelle Willis. In 2009, he had a 2-2 record with a 6.35 ERA, 16 strikeouts in 17 innings and played three times from the beginning. In his second start, he gave seven runs and ten hits against the Houston Astros in three innings. On 29 June 2009 he was again sent to the Toledo Mud Hens in Triple -A league. For him, Luke French has been included in the squad.

Orix Buffaloes

On 14 December 2010 the Tigers Figaro contract sold to the Orix Buffaloes in the Nippon Professional League. On 14 November 2011 he extended his contract with the Buffaloes.

Milwaukee Brewers

On January 31, 2013 Fígaro signed a minor league contract with the Brewers, but was invited to Spring Training. In this training, he ousted Donovan hand from the active 25 - man roster of the Brewers as a relief pitcher.

Private

Fígaro is the cousin of Fernando Rodney, the pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.
