Algirdas Petrusevičius

Algirdas Petrusevičius ( born February 23, 1937 in Klaipėda) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

From 1943 to 1951 Petrusevičius learned in the Vincas Kudirka Elementary School, and in 1955 he graduated from the Kaunas Kauno politechnikumas. Because of the anti-Soviet activities, he was arrested and deported to Siberia. He twice tried to escape and was injured and lost a hand. He lived in camps in Mordovia, Ozerlag, Vladimir. From 1968 to 1971 he worked as head master and working in Kaunas, 1971-1975 as chief engineer of the Lithuanian branch of the Soviet Institute of butter and cheese industry. From 1975 to 1986 he worked at the Museum Lietuvos liaudies buities muziejus.

From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas sąjunga as a member of Tėvynės.
